Investigators are looking for three female suspects in a series of 18 overnight car prowls in the Lake Hills neighborhood Thursday night January 25, 2023, from 11:00-11:30 p.m. Witnesses say they the suspects who were armed with hammers and were smashing car windows in multiple locations near 153rd Ave SE.
The suspects are described as juveniles all wearing similar clothing, pajama bottoms and light & dark gray hoodies. Officers arrived and located the suspect vehicle, but the driver sped off at a high rate of speed and officers did not pursue. The vehicle was determined to be stolen.
This is obviously an upsetting situation. We are adding high-visibility special emphasis patrols to be in the area and our investigators are following all possible leads. There are some things you can do to protect yourself and your property. Remove everything from your car so that there’s nothing readily available. If possible, park in a covered or secure area. Park in well-lit areas and install motion lights. Criminals do not like to be seen.
