The Bellevue Police Department today announced the suspect connected to Saturday’s fatal hit-and-run incident was arrested for homicide this weekend.
On Saturday, February 28, Bellevue Police identified a 68-year-old male as a person of interest during the initial phase of its investigation into the case. Detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of the individual. Their investigation led law enforcement to the city of Port Townsend where Jefferson County deputies were able to locate and identify the subject and the subject’s vehicle at an area residence. A short time later, the suspect was taken into custody without incident and transferred over to Bellevue Police Officers.
The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for the following crimes:
