The Bellevue Police Department today announced an investigation into a fatal collision that occurred Thursday evening.
At approximately 9:04 p.m. on March 19, Bellevue Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of 148th Ave NE to reports of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian. During its initial investigation, Bellevue Police’s Traffic Unit confirmed the victim, a 95-year-old male, was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound on 148th Ave NE. Bellevue Fire attempted life-saving measures but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene of the crash and was cooperative throughout the preliminary investigation. Bellevue Police Collison Investigators determined the driver was not impaired and was later released.
