Victim was walking down SE 36th towards Factoria when two suspects approached him on foot. One of the suspects assaulted the victim with a knife, and the other male punched the victim. The suspects fled on foot. Victim walked to a nearby store and had an employee call 911. K9 tracked, but unable to locate. Injury does not appear life-threatening. Detective Sergeant notified. |

Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress to the leasing office of a downtown apartment complex. The suspect was seen fleeing the business by an employee. The suspect description was broadcast and nearby Officers located a subject matching the suspect description walking towards them. The suspect attempted to run away. The suspect was caught and arrested. The suspect had a felony arrest warrant from KCSO for residential burglary (bail: $20,000). He was also positively identified as the burglary suspect at the apartment complex. A search of the suspect’s backpack recovered items taken in the burglary. Additionally, items were recovered from several car prowls. The suspect was booked into jail for burglary 2nd degree, possession of stolen property 2nd degree, theft 3rd degree, possession of burglary tools, and obstructing police. |

Officers attempted to stop the suspect vehicle however it failed to yield. Vehicle was later found abandoned with a tire missing at 120th and NE 8th. Suspect was later located and admitted to the hit and run. Suspect arrested and booked into jail. |
