A caller reported that a manhole cover was missing from the roadway.  It was determined that the cover had been placed on the sidewalk after coming loose from its position.  Two known vehicles were damaged due to the uncovered hole in the roadway.  An informational report was taken and forwarded to Risk Management.

Police were called to the report of a male having jumped off of a dock.  The Officer located the male swimming in the lake. The male was identified as a suspect that Mercer Island PD had probable cause to arrest.  Suspect was arrested and transferred to Mercer Island PD.

Subject confronted the nine-year-old victim riding a bicycle on a trail near Odle Middle School. The subject pushed the child off the bike, stole the bicycle, and rode away from the scene southbound toward Main Street. The victim ran to Odle Middle School to report the incident to police.

 NARRATIVE

After two employees disapproved or their co-worker’s dress attire, they conducted a ruse to place the victim co-worker in an unflattering body position. Once the ruse was set, the suspects took photographs of the victim’s backside without her knowledge. The suspects then distributed the photos to management and other employees. Charges of voyeurism are pending.

The suspect was regarding a neighborhood dispute over laundry being cleaned at a late hour. The suspect threw a bottle at the victim in front of multiple witnesses because of anger over a late laundry load. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

Victims were attempting to sell items to the suspects on a deal worked out over the internet site Letgo.com. Upon meeting suspects at a downtown Bellevue parking lot, one of suspects pulled out handgun and took merchandise from victims without paying. Suspects left prior to police arrival.

Officers responded to a report of a subject smoking marijuana and listening to music in a meeting room on the first floor of Bellevue city hall.  Bike Officers arrived and discovered the female suspect had stolen several items from employees who were having a meeting nearby.  The suspect was arrested and booked on several felony charges.

***Update*** The shift report from 8/23/18 summarized two burglaries and MV prowls in district 5. The case numbers are listed above. Today, at approximately 1200, Mercer Island PD arrested the suspect in Mercer Island while he was committing a burglary of an occupied residence.  Officers recovered stolen items from the Bellevue burglaries and prowls. The suspect will be charged with ID theft, theft, and burglary.

Officers responded to assist a WSP Trooper on the freeway because he was having a difficult time with an uncooperative driver.  The subject refused to identify himself or cooperate in any way.  After probable cause was established, WSP Troopers requested assistance in removing the subject from the vehicle.  A Bellevue Officer who was assisting used force by taking the suspect to the ground for handcuffing.  The suspect sustained minor scrapes, and he was treated at the scene by fire.  The subject was arrested by WSP.

Officers responded to the report of a theft that was occurring.  The responding officer located the suspect and was able to catch him after a short foot pursuit.  It was later determined that he also had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The stolen items were returned to the store, and the suspect was booked into jail.

The suspect claimed to have swallowed illegal drugs after being arrested for a misdemeanor warrant.  It was determined that the issuing agency would not confirm on the warrant and he was given a courtesy transport to the hospital by the investigating officer.  After the officer left, the suspect stole a marked Tri-Med Dodge Caravan (WA#-C22547D).  The van was located unoccupied the following morning. Theft charges forwarded to the prosecutor.

BFD called to scene for extraction and transport of suspect driver to the hospital. The suspect was arrested at the hospital and a DUI Blood Search Warrant was served by the investigating Officer.

The suspect had an active trespass at the location and was observed by an employee on the premises. Units responded to the area and located the subject. The subject fled on foot upon seeing police, but was positively identified. Two criminal summons were issued on the subject for trespass in the 2nd degree.
