The suspect was stopped for a traffic violation, arrested for having a suspended license, and released pending a summons. The vehicle was impounded to the station pending investigation. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and confirmed the suspect had not been given permission to drive the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed suspected methamphetamine and a loaded semi-auto pistol. The suspect is a convicted felon, and the pistol was reported stolen. Additional charges are pending. The vehicle was released to the owner. |
