An off-duty detective watched a theft in progress. The suspect proceeded to throw items at store employees to flee the scene. The detective was able to get the description of the suspect vehicle. A responding officer caught up with the suspect a short distance away and arrested him without incident. He was later booked into jail. |

Officers responded to a suspicious incident at a residence after a landlord reported a suspected cannabis grow farm inside. Officers conducted a preliminary search of the residence and discovered several dozen cannabis plants and packaged cannabis inside the home. Narcotics detectives were advised and are investigating. |

The suspect hit a vehicle on Coal Creek Parkway, sending that vehicle into two more vehicles. The suspect then fled northbound Coal Creek Parkway. A witness followed the suspect and called 911. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was not under the influence and arrested and booked into jail. |

Multiple officers responded to a glass break alarm. A suspect had forced entry through the front door. He stole items and fled. After the initial officer response, a traffic stop was conducted by an officer after he noticed a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle and occupants were eventually released from the stop. Detectives were notified. |

NARRATIVE
Officers were called to assist the Bellevue Fire Department for a fire possibly started by fireworks at the downtown library. The fire was put out with no damage to other property. The fire was actually a device on the sidewalk. The Bomb Squad was notified and responded to inspect the device. The library was evacuated as a precaution while waiting for further investigation. A sweep of the library was performed, and no further devices were found. The fire turned out to be a large battery pack for an electric bike that was recklessly started. A suspect was later located in possession of an electric bike that was missing the battery pack. The suspect said another subject was with him, but that the other subject had fled before police arrived. The suspect was arrested for reckless burning. A witness on the scene who was with the suspect was arrested on multiple Bellevue warrants. |

The subject was holding some unknown metallic object in his hand while speaking incoherently while he rode the elevator to the 18th floor. The subject was not located at the building or in the area. |

The victims called the police to report that unknown suspects were shooting into their home as they were sleeping. Officers determined the suspects committed a drive-by shooting and left the area. Officers cleared the residence and determined the home had been struck by gunfire. Command was notified, and detectives responded to assist. The investigation is ongoing. |
