Officer placed on administrative leave

Late Tuesday, the Bellevue Police Department was alerted that an officer may have violated the department’s social media policy. The department immediately looked into the matter and determined there was reason to launch an investigation.  The Chief authorized an independent outside investigation to ensure complete transparency. The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

We remind the public that Bellevue Police Department employees train and are guided by our core values of respect, integrity, accountability, and service. “We will allow the investigators to do their work fully and completely, and we’ll take appropriate actions at its conclusion,” said Chief Mylett.
