Violent suspect arrested

Bellevue police and the King County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Washington’s Most Wanted suspect this afternoon. The 23-year-old male had warrants for escape from community custody for Robbery 1st degree, and warrants for DV Assault 2nd degree, DV Residential Burglary, and other misdemeanor DV warrants.

Detectives received a tip that the suspect was in Bellevue and immediately formed an arrest plan.  Due to the violent nature of his alleged crimes and his history of fleeing, Bellevue SWAT and the K9 Unit responded to assist with the arrest.

The suspect was observed in the 3200 block 158th Ave SE, and when officers attempted to arrest him, he fled on foot. Officers gave chase, and finally, K9 Ghost was able to apprehend the suspect.

“Officers worked very hard to apprehend this violent suspect, but without the support and excellent work by K9 Ghost, this suspect would have likely escaped again and continued to pose a threat to the public. Bellevue is a bit safer having this person off the streets,” said Chief Steve Mylett.
