Detectives have identified and arrested a 35-year-old Bellevue man on investigation of child pornography, a case described as having vast amounts of extremely severe content. The investigation began in mid-March and led to William Dobson’s arrest on investigation of dealing and possessing child pornography.
After serving a search warrant in the 1800 block 129th Pl SE, investigators located well over 1,000 child pornography images and videos on Dobson’s multiple electronic devices. There were at least 800 of those files with identified child victims.
“This case is extremely disturbing, both in the vast number of images and in the severity of the depictions,” stated Captain Debbie Ingram. “In this investigation alone, there are more than 800 minor victims.” “These children suffer tremendously in producing this material. They are victimized again every time the material is viewed. Our detectives did an outstanding job investigating and building this case against the suspect,” Ingram added.
The King County Prosecutor has charged Dobson with Dealing in Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct in the First Degree and Possession of Depictions of Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct in the First Degree. He’s currently in the King County Jail on $30,000 bail. His arraignment is scheduled for June 3, 2021.
