NARRATIVE
Officers responded to an assault with a firearm and discovered that the suspect had fled the residence in a vehicle before police arrived. Officers determined that while the suspect argued with his on-again-off-again girlfriend, he pulled a handgun out of his waistband, pointed it at her, and threatened to shoot her. Following an extensive area check, officers couldn’t locate the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect was not located at multiple addresses he was associated with, and the victim provided a written statement, was given DV resources, and was encouraged to leave for the evening. Officers increased patrols near the victim’s residence, and filed a felony case with the prosecutor. |
