 NARRATIVE

The victim stopped on the freeway offramp to assist a male with his broken down car. A female and small child were in the car as well. The suspect offered a Rolex watch and several necklaces and rings to the victim in exchange for money to get his car fixed and running, to which the victim agreed. The suspect’s car started up and the suspect followed the victim to the bank. The victim withdrew an undisclosed amount and handed it over to the suspect in exchange for what the suspect said was over $15,000 worth of gold jewelry. The victim took the items to a jeweler, who told him it was all costume jewelry and was worth nothing.

Officer spotted a known wanted suspect that was driving a vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest for drug crimes.  A passenger was placed under arrest for a warrant.  The vehicle was impounded to the station for a search warrant.

 NARRATIVE

A renter called to report that he had video of the suspect across from his apartment shooting live rounds into his own deck from a pistol shortly before he called.  Officers contacted the suspect and had them exit the apartment. Two subjects were detained. A pistol was located inside bedroom of residence.  An investigation revealed that the pistol fired blanks.  The suspect stated that he was trying to scare his cat. Suspect was intoxicated. The suspect’s roommate agreed to take care of him for the rest of the night.  No crime occurred.

An employee who left his vehicle in the parking lot overnight discovered that his vehicle’s gas tank had a hole drilled into it and all of his gas was drained out. Estimated damage $1000.

 NARRATIVE

While patrolling a parking lot, the Officer conducted a license plate inquiry which revealed that the registered owner of the vehicle had a suspended license.  A traffic stop was initiated.  The owner was driving and provided a false name.  Evidence of possible identity crimes was also located.  The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

 NARRATIVE

Loss Prevention attempted to detain the suspect for theft. While attempting to restrain the suspect, the suspect attacked and tried to punch the agent and then ran into a nearby neighborhood. A K-9 track was initiated, however the suspect was not located.

Officers contacted two individuals. A records check revealed outstanding warrants for both subjects. The warrants were confirmed and both suspects taken into custody. A search revealed 1.6 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.

 NARRATIVE

Approximately 12 dumpsters were set on fire in Bellevue and an additional 10-12 dumpsters in Redmond.  Officers began canvassing the area for further fires as well as anyone who could possibly be a suspect.  An Officer contacted a witness who stated that he saw who he believed to be the suspect in the area. King County’s Guardian 1 helicopter arrived and assisted in locating other fires as well as the suspect in a nearby wooded area.  The suspect was located and arrested for trespassing and arson.  Detectives will follow up.

A patrol Officer investigating a burglary was able to identify the suspect from surveillance video. Burglary charges were filed on the suspect and the case was closed.

 NARRATIVE

Officers responded to a report of a subject who was throwing items and destroying his condo.  The victim, who was the suspect’s mother, was able to exit the residence and call police. Investigating officers learned that the suspect was also violating a valid no contact order by being in the residence with his mother.  After several attempts to contact the suspect, BPD Crisis Response Team and SWAT members were  called out and negotiated with the subject.  Officers took the suspect into custody that afternoon without incident. No injuries to the officers or suspect.

The victim came home to his apartment and saw two subjects jump off his back balcony and run around the corner. Officers responded to scene and did not locate the suspects.  Suspects stole jewelry.

Officers contacted subjects sitting in a vehicle.  Officers observed various forms of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.  The vehicle was impounded pending a search warrant and the subjects were released at the scene.

Suspects were contacted in a vehicle in the parking lot.  Officer saw Drug Paraphernalia and detained both Suspects. A search revealed suspected heroin and methamphetamine were located.  Suspect was arrested and booked.

Officers responded to a report of a woman walking into businesses throwing chairs and tables, pouring herself coffee and lighting a lighter next to a propane tank at the gas station. Officers caught up with her as she was in the middle of NE 8th Street trying to stop vehicles and hitting them with her fist. The subject was taken into protective custody and taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

The victim went into cardiac arrest this evening. The Officer arrived on scene and found the female without a pulse.  Officer then deployed a defibrillator on the victim and it was advised no shock.  Officer then started CPR on the victim until Bellevue Fire and Medic One arrived.  The victim was revived and transported to the hospital for further treatment.

 NARRATIVE

The suspect was in an argument with his wife over a pending divorce.  The suspect’s adult son inserted himself into the argument and was assaulted by the suspect.  Son held his father down until police arrived.  Subject was arrested for assault and booked into jail.

Officers responded to a theft in progress at the store.  One of the officers located the suspects and got into a foot pursuit.  He was able to catch one of the suspects and took him into custody after a minor use of force.  The suspect was not injured.  The suspect was booked into jail.

 NARRATIVE

A Bellevue Police Officer was driving into work and noticed a male standing on the edge of the overpass. The Officer, who was a trained crisis negotiator, stopped his vehicle and began speaking to the male. He was able to successfully talk him back onto the bridge deck police stopped traffic. The man began to run to the other side of the overpass to jump, and the off-duty Officer tackled the man, who was taken into protective custody.

The suspect got into a verbal argument with victim’s mom and then assaulted her. The victim tried breaking  up the fight, and then suspect started assaulting him. The suspect was arrested for assault and booked.

 NARRATIVE

The suspect was contacted by Officers after a resident called to report a suspicious person behind a residence near the park. The suspect observed arriving Officers and proceeded to dump the contents of her purse onto the ground. Officers discovered suspected methamphetamines, a permanent marker and a needle in the pile of items that were dumped by the suspect. The suspect told Officers that she was just “chased by a grizzly bear” nearby. The subject was arrested for drug paraphernalia and unlawful inhalation.
