Bellevue Husky Reunited With Owner Thanks To Pet License

This past Friday, Bellevue Police responded to a report of a loose dog in the parking lot of the Crossroads Mall in Bellevue. When the Officer arrived, he located a very friendly female Husky that jumped in the back of his car.

This Alaskan Husky named Zoey was reunited with her owner thanks to a pet license.

The dog, Zoey, was returned to her owner in Bellevue because she had a pet license. The dog had a license tag on so the officer tried to call the owner but wasn’t able to reach him so he passed the contact information along to dispatch for follow-up and took the dog to Alpine Animal Hospital in Issaquah, which is where the Bellevue Police take dogs that are lost but not injured. Dispatch notified regional animal control services of King County, who tracked down the owner through the dog’s license. They reached the owner who was subsequently reunited with his dog.

The Bellevue Police Department would like to remind all residents that pets must be licensed. To license your pet, please visit the website for Regional Animal Services of King County.
