Suspects have been renting Lime Cars to facilitate porch thefts and burglaries in the Northtown area. Several thefts have occurred in the past week. On 4/29, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect after a reported theft. The suspect fled at a high rate of speed. (no pursuit.) Officers are identifying persons of interest and the investigation is ongoing. |

Officers responded to the report of two subjects who had possibly snorted cocaine from a table top at a restaurant. The subjects were each issued a notice of trespass and they left the area. BPD officers responded to assist WSP on a traffic stop a suspected shooting incident on I 405 S. WSP conducted the stop on the suspect’s vehicle on I-405 S after receiving information about a shooting on the interstate. Three other vehicles were believed to be involved and BPD officers stopped the vehicles on I 405. WSP concluded that no firearm was discharged and the initial vehicle in the incident had a malfunctioning exhaust system which caused a loud back fire from the muffler. All subjects detained were released. |
