 NARRATIVE

Suspects have been renting Lime Cars to facilitate porch thefts and burglaries in the Northtown area. Several thefts have occurred in the past week. On 4/29, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect after a reported theft. The suspect fled at a high rate of speed. (no pursuit.)   Officers are identifying persons of interest and the investigation is ongoing.

An officer investigated a construction site burglary where the suspects entered a fenced area and the building. The suspects then proceeded to pick the locks of several tool boxes belonging to several victim sub-contractors and stole items.

An officer on patrol in the parking lot of a business observed a stolen vehicle.  A short time later, he discovered a second stolen vehicle was parked next to the first.  Two suspects were identified as being related to one of the vehicles.  One of them was arrested and booked into jail without incident.  Charges are being submitted on the second suspect.

Officers responded to the report of two subjects who had possibly snorted cocaine from a table top at a restaurant.  The subjects were each issued a notice of trespass and they left the area.  It was reported approximately an hour later that they were back on the property.  The subjects were contacted by officers again and then placed under arrest for trespassing.  Both subjects were booked without incident.

An officer contacted the suspect because she looked like a different subject who has an active arrest warrant.  The female was not the subject in question, and she showed her ID to the officer while telling him that she was not the warrant subject.  The subject left and the officer returned to his vehicle and conducted a check of her name & DOB.  The check revealed that she also had a warrant out for her arrest.  She was booked into jail without incident.

The suspects stole several items from the store and were detained by loss prevention. Loss prevention said the females stole last week as well and got away in a white car that was waiting for them in the parking garage. Same car was waiting today. BPD officers responded to assist WSP on a traffic stop a suspected shooting incident on I 405 S. WSP conducted the stop on the suspect’s vehicle on I-405 S after receiving information about a shooting on the interstate. Three other vehicles were believed to be involved and BPD officers stopped the vehicles on I 405. WSP concluded that no firearm was discharged and the initial vehicle in the incident had a malfunctioning exhaust system which caused a loud back fire from the muffler. All subjects detained were released.

Officer located a vehicle at the park in which the owner had a warrant. Suspect was contacted, gave a false them and was arrested.  A second suspect interfered and was also arrested. A large crowd gathered, and they started to obstruct.  Additional units were requested for scene management.  Minimal force used on suspects.  A captain was notified and responded to scene.  Suspects were booked into jail.

Suspect unlawfully entered his ex-girlfriend’s unlocked apartment and assaulted her.  The suspect then took the victim’s car keys and fled.  The victim chased the suspect into the parking lot to recover her keys and the suspect hit her with the vehicle, running over her foot.  The suspect fled the scene in his vehicle.  He is a violent offender and officer safety risk. He was unable to be located. The case was forwarded to detectives.

An officer observed a male and female in a vehicle together with a no-contact order between them. The officer observed them exit a vehicle together and he contacted the suspect. The suspect had violated the terms of the no contact order, was arrested and booked into jail.
