Online registration is now open for the fall Community Police Academy. The Community Academy is a 12-week program that dives into patrol procedures and accident investigations, firearms and use of force, 911 communications, narcotics and vice, K-9, defensive tactics, SWAT and more. It’s your chance to learn about how the police department operates and get your questions answered.
This course is for Bellevue residents and those who work in Bellevue who want a better understanding of public safety and police work. In addition to classroom talks, you’ll also watch hands-on demonstrations and experience a police ride-a-long. This video of a training demonstration is an example of what you’ll see.
The fall Community Police Academy starts September 5th and takes place every Thursday evening from 7-10 p.m. through November 21st. Registration is now open, click here to apply.
