Bellevue police arrest two in Crossroads Park shooting

HAPPENING NOWBellevue police have arrested two suspects in connection with the weekend shooting in Crossroads Park.  Both male suspects, age 22 and 19-years-old are Bellevue residents.

Police originally responded to Overlake Hospital after two victims showed up with gunshot wounds just before midnight on June 22nd.   The 18 and 22-year-old male victims told investigators they were sitting in their car at the park when another car drove up, and the suspects shouted something out the window.  That verbal altercation escalated into a fight where one of the suspects fired a gun.  The two victims suffered serious foot and leg injuries.

Witnesses and the victims’ description lead detectives to narrow in on a few suspects. The 22-year-old suspect was arrested on assault charges, and the 19-year-old was arrested for rendering criminal assistance for driving the suspect from the scene.  Charges have been referred to the King County Prosecutor’s office.
