28-year-old Adam Gua was found dead in a Seattle apartment this morning after a standoff with Seattle Police. Gua was wanted in connection with a car prowl in Bellevue and for shooting at a Bellevue police officer on August 30th.
Around 3:30 am, Seattle police responded to a call from a person in a Capitol Hill apartment who thought Gua was sleeping on the couch. The resident recognized Gua from media reports.
Seattle SWAT and the Hostage Negotiation Team attempted to talk with Gua, but he refused, and officers later heard a single gunshot. After Seattle PD entered the apartment, officers found him dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
