Officers learned Seattle Police Detectives had developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for a homicide that recently occurred in Seattle. Based on prior contacts, the officers recognized the parties involved and responded to a residence to contact a witness. On scene, the officers learned the suspect was at the residence and called for additional resources. Before additional units arrived, the suspect surrendered without incident and was detained for SPD. |

Loss prevention recognized a suspect as having been previously trespassed for shop-lifting several weeks ago. The suspect cut a security device off a pre-paid cell phone today and left the store with the merchandise. An officer located the suspect nearby and detained him. The suspect was arrested, and a search produced suspected drug paraphernalia. He was booked into jail. |

An employee called in to report a male subject had a credit card declined and he saw an ID belonging to a female inside of a wallet in the male subject’s possession. An officer located and detained the subject. As the officer was investigating, the victim approached him and told him her purse had been stolen from the mall and her credit card used at the same store. The victim noticed her headphones hanging off of the suspect. The officer established probable cause and located the victim’s property on the suspect’s person during a search after the arrest. The suspect was booked into jail. |

Security located a subject with an injury on the back of his head. Bellevue Fire Department medics responded and transported the man to the hospital. The officer determined that the injury was likely the result of a fall and there were no signs of criminal activity. The Washington State Liquor & Cannabis Board was notified about the incident due to the subject’s extreme level of intoxication that was likely due to over-service at a local bar. |

A search of his patrol vehicle after booking the suspect netted a baggie of suspected methamphetamine that the female left behind in the patrol car. |

Officers contacted the suspect in his vehicle bearing stolen license plates from earlier in the evening in Bellevue that belonged on a different car. Officer discovered that the suspect had a warrant out for his arrest for criminal traffic offenses. He was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Both license plates were recovered from the suspect. The arrest closed out two cases and opened a pending drug case. The suspect was booked into jail. |

The bicyclist entered onto SE 8th Street from 145th Ave SE and was struck by the driver’s vehicle which was traveling west on SE 8th Street. The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet and had a large bag of aluminum cans straddle on the handlebars. The bicyclist was rendered unconscious on the scene after the impact and was immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The driver was not found to be impaired by either alcohol or a controlled substance. At 0230, the King County Medical Examiner contacted BPD to advise the bicyclist was just pronounced deceased. |
