The victim returned home to find an occupied and idling U-Haul box truck outside his residence. The victim entered his residence, noticed that his property had been disturbed, and heard someone exit his residence. The victim saw the truck flee at a high rate of speed. The truck was located a short time later near 140th Ave NE and Bellevue-Redmond Road. Two suspects were detained without incident and eventually arrested for Residential Burglary. Officers responded to the report of a theft of keys at a downtown store. The keys are used to open the doors to the lottery ticket cabinet at the front of the store. The investigating officer located the suspect after he returned to the store later in the evening. She recognized and identified him as the theft suspect from the surveillance video of the earlier theft. The subject was arrested and found to be in possession of suspected drugs and multiple burglary tools. He also provided a false name. The suspect is being summoned into Bellevue District Court. |

The suspect was attempting to purchase a vehicle under another person’s ID. An officer arrived on scene to investigate and developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for fraud crimes. Another officer recognized the suspect from a Seattle PD case. SPD has numerous cases on the suspect for over $1 million in losses. SPD officers responded to the Bellevue Police Department to interview the suspect and take over the investigation. Another suspect arrived in the area to pick up the first suspect with a friend. The second suspect was also wanted in connection with the SPD case. It was also discovered that he had a recently entered felony warrant for ID Theft out of Pierce County with no bail. The second suspect was found at a nearby store and taken into custody. He too was turned over to SPD for an interview. The second suspect was booked into jail. |

The suspect was contacted by police in reference to a welfare check and possible disturbance. A citizen reported that the suspect was acting erratic, screaming gibberish, and appeared to be in crisis. Officers arrived on scene and in the course of making contact and attempting to de-escalate the situation, observed that the suspect had grabbed onto the caller in a threatening manner. Officers intervened and placed the suspect onto the ground where he was detained without injury. During the contact, the suspect attempted to bite one of the officers. The suspect was displaying the obvious effects of Excited Delirium and could not verbally communicate. Bellevue medics took the suspect to the hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested, and a search produced approximately (1.33) grams of suspected methamphetamine on the suspect’s person. Criminal charges are pending. |

Officers responded to the area for a robbery at a bank. An officer was nearby and saw the suspect attempting to carjack a citizen on Eastgate Way. The officer confronted the suspect and a foot pursuit ensued. The suspect was caught by the officer at 158th Ave SE and Eastgate Way and was tased before being detained. The suspect was positively identified and was transported to the hospital for taser deployment evaluation and facial injuries. Subsequent to the initial investigation, it was determined the suspect robbed the bank, attempted to steal a nearby unoccupied vehicle, and then attempted to carjack a citizen. All the money taken during the robbery was recovered and no officers were injured. The suspect was booked into jail. |
