NARRATIVE
Police responded TO a report of shots fired, and when they arrived, they located an intoxicated victim who had been violently assaulted. A neighbor reported hearing multiple gunshots coming from the direction of the residence. A perimeter was set, and PA announcements were made. There were also multiple attempts to call into the residence that were unsuccessful. Investigators found a blood trail leading into the residence. There was no response at the front door after multiple attempts to contact people inside. Officers breached the front door and called out to the suspects, but no response. The Immediate Action Team made entry and located multiple suspects pretending to be asleep. While conducting a protective sweep, officers located a recklessly concealed AR-15 Rifle hidden in the residence. Officers followed the blood trail from the front door to the back-living room area where there was evidence of a violent assault, and shell casings were located. The scene was locked down and turned over to detectives. While investigating the exterior perimeter of the location, officers located a vehicle that was recently involved in a drive-by shooting out of Tacoma PD. The vehicle was seized and impounded at the station at the request of Tacoma PD. The investigation is ongoing. |
