 NARRATIVE

The victim is the suspect’s caseworker. While doing a home visit, the suspect became violent and, while trying to escape, grabbed the victim’s backpack and slapped the right side of his face causing pain and fear. The suspect will be summoned for Assault 4.

 NARRATIVE

Lost prevention detained a suspect had put on a jacket valued at $225.00 and walked out without attempting to pay for it. A search following the arrest produced suspected methamphetamine in the suspect’s pant pocket. The suspect was released, and charges were filed with the prosecutor.

 NARRATIVE

Officers observed a vehicle go through a red light and ran the plate, which came back stolen out of Tacoma. A traffic stop was initiated, but the vehicle failed to yield. Due to mechanical issues with the vehicle, it could not go any faster than approximately 25mph. The vehicle observed the rules of the road, and officers followed the vehicle. In the 3700 block of 118th Ave SE, the vehicle caught fire and was engulfed in flames, coming to a stop. The driver fled on foot into the Mercer Slough, and the passenger was detained when she exited the vehicle. Officers stopped pursuing on foot when the driver went into very thick bushes and threatened that he had a gun. He also stated he was not going back to jail. A perimeter was set, and a K9 was requested. While waiting for the K9 to arrive, the suspect continued to flee further into the brush, and officers eventually lost sight of him. The K9 track was unsuccessful, and the subject was not found. The passenger was booked into jail.

An officer conducted a traffic stop and determined the car was stolen. After additional officers arrived, the female driver was arrested for Possession Stolen Vehicle, and the male passenger was arrested on a Bellevue Theft warrant.  Both were booked into jail.

The caller reported a female in the store possibly under the influence and not taking care of her child.  She left the scene in a vehicle.  The officer found the female driving erratically on NE 8th St at the 13200 block.  The officer conducted a traffic stop, which turned into a DUI investigation. The child had not been fed all day and was transported to the station and provided a meal.  CPS was called, and the mother was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

 NARRATIVE

The suspect went to the victim’s front door to confront him over what he perceived to be noise coming from their unit. The suspect had no prior contact with the victim but has had issues with other tenants. The suspect was naked, kicked the front door, and entered the residence.  He searched out the victim in the residence and assaulted him in front of his family, striking the victim in his face causing injuries.  The suspect fled to his unit, where he was apprehended by responding officers. He was booked into jail.

Police responded to a disturbance in progress, and upon arrival, the suspect was identified by witnesses as acting erratic and frantically banging on vehicles within the parking lot.  After the suspect was detained, officers observed what appeared to be a baggy of methamphetamine in the area where the suspect was standing. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to a trespass in progress. While they were enroute to the scene, dispatch advised that the suspect was seen on camera actively trespassing on the property. Officers contacted the suspect and determined that the property owner wanted to pursue charges. Following the arrest, a search turned up suspected drug paraphernalia on the suspect. The suspect was advised he would be summoned in the mail and released.

Police responded to a residential burglary that just occurred. Officers on scene confirmed that the suspect had broken into the residence through the garage door. The victim stated that he woke to the sound of possible glass breaking.  A perimeter was set, and a K9 officer and his partners initiated a track, but the scent was quickly lost.  The investigation is ongoing.

The 27-year-old suspect has been staying with the 80-year-old victim on and off for the past 5 years.  The two were in an argument today over the suspect’s DOC Escape warrant.  The suspect punched the victim, who tried to use his walker to block her.  The suspect also tried to stop the victim from calling 911.  The suspect left the residence prior to police arriving but was stopped by officers. The suspect was booked into jail for DV Assault 4, DV Interfering, Obstructing, and a DOC Escape Warrant.

The suspect concealed over $1100 worth of merchandise and fled on a skateboard as an officer arrived on scene. The officer located the fleeing suspect and took him into custody after an extended foot pursuit.  During a search after the arrest, the officer found the suspect was in possession of several stolen credit cards, an EBT card, and another’s social security card, as well as stolen property from a previous theft in the day (21-5147).  The suspect was booked into jail.

Officers investigated a call that a male left a bloody knife in the room he was in after he fled with palm lacerations to both hands and a broken hand.  He refused to tell say what occurred. The suspect has a DOC Escape Warrant for Assault and is listed as violent.  The knife had blood on it, and his injuries were consistent with an assault.  An area check was performed with negative results.  Surrounding agencies were contacted to see if there was a reported stabbing.  None were reported.  The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to an alarm activation and arrived to see video confirming suspects entering the business.  Approximately $5,000 in damages occurred while the suspects unsuccessfully attempted to steal jewelry. The investigation is ongoing.

A suspect stole items and fled on foot.  Responding officers located the suspect behind a dumpster and arrested him.  A second suspect was in a vehicle and, when contacted, was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia.  She was interviewed and consented to a search of her belongings. Officers found stolen merchandise with security devices attached and theft tools. The first suspect was booked, the second was interviewed and released.

 NARRATIVE

Suspects entered the parking garage and were in the process of prowling a work van.  The victim confronted the suspects, and one suspect immediately placed his hand in his sweatshirt pocket and pointed what the victim believed to be a gun at him.  The victim backed off. The suspects stole over $2000 in tools and attempted to flee. The victim stepped in front of the vehicle and was struck but not injured. The suspects then fled recklessly into oncoming traffic on Bellevue Way, driving in the opposite lane of traffic, running red lights and nearly hitting several pedestrians in a crosswalk.  The investigation is ongoing.
