Police contacted the suspect for a traffic violation and determined the suspect was driving with a suspended license and had a warrant for the same out of the Kelso Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and released, advised he would receive a summons in the mail for driving on a suspended license.

An officer conducted a traffic stop for violations and found that the driver was driving with a suspended license.  She was arrested and released, advised she would receive a summons in the mail. A second subject was in the vehicle and was going to drive, so she provided her ID voluntarily.  She was found to have a DOC Escape Warrant.  She was arrested and booked.

Suspicious Circumstances

The reporting parted stated someone attempted to rob him of recently purchased merchandise in the stairwell of the mall. Multiple units responded to the scene. The reporting party was uncooperative with officers and was intoxicated. Officers investigated and reviewed security video footage from the location and determined that the incident, as reported, never occurred.  A written report was taken.

Loss prevention detained a suspect for shoplifting $119 worth of merchandise.  The suspect was arrested and released pending a summons in the mail.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. The victim stated her boyfriend had put his hands around her neck and made it difficult for her to breathe.  The suspect admitted to placing his hands around the victim’s neck but said he didn’t use all of his strength when squeezing her neck.  The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

A caller reported a male laying on the horn in the parking lot.  Officers arrived and found a subject in his car with the emergency flashers on and blocking the middle of the parking lot.  Bellevue Fire responded to assist because it appeared the subject was in a crisis. Officers contacted the subject, and he was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

A victim interrupted a male who had her vehicle on a jack and was removing something from it with a saw.  The suspect fled the scene in a silver sedan but left his tools behind.  Officers located a vehicle matching the description in the area.  A catalytic converter and exhaust with the same cut marks as on the victim’s vehicle was found in the suspect’s trunk.  The suspect was booked into jail.

A suspect placed his mother in fear of being assaulted when he raised a metal rod over his head as if he was going to hit her with it. He refused to exit the home. The suspect eventually surrendered without incident. He was arrested and booked into jail.

Security observed a suspicious van driving through the parking lot. Officers responded and contacted the occupants of the vehicle and determined the driver had a Felony DOC warrant for Indecent Exposure.  He was arrested and booked into jail without incident.

Car Theft

A victim’s BMW was taken while it was running to warm up in her driveway. After taking the stolen report, radio dispatched that a Nissan Rogue was taken from the 1000 Blk Northup Way, and the suspect was dropped off by a white sedan. Officers responding to the area spotted the stolen BMW. It fled immediately southbound on West Lake Sammamish Parkway. The stolen BMW collided with another vehicle at SE 14^th St, and the suspects tried to run on foot. They decided that was a bad idea and came back to the car and continued southbound. They eventually ditched the car near SE 35^th St and 162^nd Pl SE, fled on foot, and got away. Meanwhile, two businesses in Eastgate reported overnight burglaries. The same suspects that fled from the stolen cars were caught on surveillance committing the burglaries. The suspects were responsible for at least two burglaries and two stolen cars between 3:00 am and 6:30 am. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to the Factoria Transfer Station after employees called 911 to report someone had dropped off (what appeared to be) pipe bombs for disposal.  The location was evacuated, and officers located the items and confirmed they were explosives.  The area was contained, and members of the bomb squad responded and rendered the items safe.  The investigation revealed the identity of the person who disposed of the items.  They were contacted and were no longer in possession of any other explosives.

Robbery (Strong Arm)

Officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred and learned the suspect had approached the victim and grabbed her purse, ripping it from her grasp.  Inside the purse was approximately $31,000 in cash.  Officers arrived shortly after and located the victim.  During the investigation, evidence was located to suggest a possible location for the suspect.  While officers searched that area, they located a male matching the description of the suspect and detained him without incident.  After establishing probable cause, the suspect was arrested, and a search produced some of the money from the victim’s purse. The suspect was booked into jail.

A suspect was recently trespassed from the location as a John Doe after damaging property and refusing to identify himself.  He returned today and was not wearing a mask inside the mall and refused to put one on when asked.  He then started to act erratic, entered the female restroom, took off his jacket, and attempted to provoke security. He refused to leave, running around the parking lot, then returning.  Officers arrived, and the male refused to identify himself. Officers were able to learn his identity.  Due to his erratic behavior and refusal to comply, he was booked into jail.

A woman and her son were taking their dog for a walk on a leash.  A 4-year-old went outside with his mother but got away from her when she turned around to take out the trash.  The 4-year-old ran up and got into the face of the dog as the owner warned him not to.  The dog bit the 4-year-old on the cheek.  Bellevue Fire responded and treated the 4-year-old, who later went to Urgent Care.

The suspect and victim were in the parking garage, and the victim stated the suspect slapped her on the face, which caused pain and fear. The suspect was arrested for DV Assault 4 and transported to jail.

The manager reported that a male threatened her with a knife.  Downtown Unit officers were first on the scene and contacted the male in the parking lot.  Upon investigation, the male never threatened the manager with the knife; he was ultimately trespassed from the premise.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance where the victim stated her husband was cursing at her and calling her names.  The suspect admitted to escalating the confrontation by pushing the victim back with two hands prior to calling the police.  The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

A 76-year-old male was reported to be walking on the sidewalk with no shoes on. The male was cold and confused.  Officers were unable to locate his residence. He was transported to the hospital as he was unable to care for himself.

A suspect was causing problems while under the influence, attempting to grab female staff members. Police responded three times for the same individual, and he was trespassed during the second call.  He returned and tried to grab female employees again.  He then went up to the bunk area and hid under a mattress.  He was arrested and booked into jail.

Eastgate Park and Ride

Over 100 cars were on a “Cruise” through Bellevue that started in Edmonds and was followed by WSP.  The event ended up at Best Buy then onto the Eastgate Park and Ride.  Officers provided support to maintain order.  Motors wrote a few tickets, and officers observed the event in close proximity during its duration.  Eventually, it dispersed by 11:00 pm.

While the victim was driving a vehicle on NE 8^th St, the suspect placed his forearm across her throat and scratched at her arm.  The suspect then head-butted the victim.  Felony Assault charges were forwarded to the prosecutor.

The suspect stole a phone from the front desk employee.  During the investigation, officers found the suspect had assaulted her boyfriend and was in violation of a no-contact order with her son.  The suspect took the boyfriend’s vehicle and fled the scene before police arrived. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance and interviewed the victim, who stated her ex-boyfriend threatened to kill her after an argument.  The victim was fearful the suspect would harm her and carry out his threats.  Officers located the suspect and interviewed him.  Following the investigation, the suspect was arrested for Harassment/Threats to Kill (DV).  The suspect was transported to jail, where he was booked for the offense.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at Bellevue Way/SE 3rd St.  Upon arrival, Fire/Aid was already on scene and extricating one of the involved parties.  Based on the circumstances known at the time, collision investigators were notified and responded to the scene to assist.  Once the involved party was freed from her vehicle, she was transported to the hospital with minor/moderate injuries.

A party organizer was provided a warning for loud party noise.  Upon return, the party organizer was issued an infraction for a noise complaint.  Multiple parking tickets were also issued to party attendees who had committed parking violations at the party.

Assault / Suspicious Circumstance

Officers responded to a report of unwanted touching that occurred the night before.  The investigating officer arrived and contacted the victim and spoke to her about the incident.  The officer learned the victim had been walking home the previous night when a male suspect approached her and grabbed her buttocks.  The suspect is unknown to the victim.  Based on the circumstances, the case will be forwarded to detectives.

The suspect and victim had a prior dating relationship, and the suspect went to the victim’s house to discuss their future. When he learned about a new boyfriend, he assaulted the victim and strangled her at one point. The new boyfriend called police. The suspect was contacted by phone and confessed to the assault.  The suspect agreed to come to the station and was arrested without incident and booked into jail.

A pedestrian was crossing in the crosswalk on a walk signal and the driver making a left turn did not see the pedestrian and hit her.  The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with concussion symptoms. The driver was not impaired and released from the scene.
