The reporting parted stated someone attempted to rob him of recently purchased merchandise in the stairwell of the mall. Multiple units responded to the scene. The reporting party was uncooperative with officers and was intoxicated. Officers investigated and reviewed security video footage from the location and determined that the incident, as reported, never occurred. A written report was taken. |

A victim interrupted a male who had her vehicle on a jack and was removing something from it with a saw. The suspect fled the scene in a silver sedan but left his tools behind. Officers located a vehicle matching the description in the area. A catalytic converter and exhaust with the same cut marks as on the victim’s vehicle was found in the suspect’s trunk. The suspect was booked into jail. |

NARRATIVE
A victim’s BMW was taken while it was running to warm up in her driveway. After taking the stolen report, radio dispatched that a Nissan Rogue was taken from the 1000 Blk Northup Way, and the suspect was dropped off by a white sedan. Officers responding to the area spotted the stolen BMW. It fled immediately southbound on West Lake Sammamish Parkway. The stolen BMW collided with another vehicle at SE 14th St, and the suspects tried to run on foot. They decided that was a bad idea and came back to the car and continued southbound. They eventually ditched the car near SE 35th St and 162nd Pl SE, fled on foot, and got away. Meanwhile, two businesses in Eastgate reported overnight burglaries. The same suspects that fled from the stolen cars were caught on surveillance committing the burglaries. The suspects were responsible for at least two burglaries and two stolen cars between 3:00 am and 6:30 am. The investigation is ongoing. |

Officers responded to the Factoria Transfer Station after employees called 911 to report someone had dropped off (what appeared to be) pipe bombs for disposal. The location was evacuated, and officers located the items and confirmed they were explosives. The area was contained, and members of the bomb squad responded and rendered the items safe. The investigation revealed the identity of the person who disposed of the items. They were contacted and were no longer in possession of any other explosives. |

Officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred and learned the suspect had approached the victim and grabbed her purse, ripping it from her grasp. Inside the purse was approximately $31,000 in cash. Officers arrived shortly after and located the victim. During the investigation, evidence was located to suggest a possible location for the suspect. While officers searched that area, they located a male matching the description of the suspect and detained him without incident. After establishing probable cause, the suspect was arrested, and a search produced some of the money from the victim’s purse. The suspect was booked into jail. |

A suspect was recently trespassed from the location as a John Doe after damaging property and refusing to identify himself. He returned today and was not wearing a mask inside the mall and refused to put one on when asked. He then started to act erratic, entered the female restroom, took off his jacket, and attempted to provoke security. He refused to leave, running around the parking lot, then returning. Officers arrived, and the male refused to identify himself. Officers were able to learn his identity. Due to his erratic behavior and refusal to comply, he was booked into jail. |

A woman and her son were taking their dog for a walk on a leash. A 4-year-old went outside with his mother but got away from her when she turned around to take out the trash. The 4-year-old ran up and got into the face of the dog as the owner warned him not to. The dog bit the 4-year-old on the cheek. Bellevue Fire responded and treated the 4-year-old, who later went to Urgent Care. |

Over 100 cars were on a “Cruise” through Bellevue that started in Edmonds and was followed by WSP. The event ended up at Best Buy then onto the Eastgate Park and Ride. Officers provided support to maintain order. Motors wrote a few tickets, and officers observed the event in close proximity during its duration. Eventually, it dispersed by 11:00 pm. |
