Kirkland PD located the unreported stolen vehicle that was unoccupied and running without the keys in it. An officer contacted the registered owner, who confirmed the vehicle was taken without his permission.

An employee reported that the building that he works at, which is under construction, had been burglarized. The officer arrived on scene and met with the employee. He advised the officer that when he arrived at work this morning, he discovered several tools missing from the storage facility that’s in the building. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant Arrest

An officer responded to a 911 “hang-up” call and learned the caller noticed a funny smell coming from an apartment across the street. When the officers contacted him, they determined there was DOC-Escape Community Custody warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed, and he was subsequently placed in custody without incident. He was booked into jail.

Domestic Disturbance

Police responded to a domestic disturbance and contacted an uncooperative victim.  The officer determined that the suspect had violently assaulted his girlfriend earlier in the day while arguing with her about their relationship. Officers attempted to contact the suspect multiple times but couldn’t locate him. The suspect will be summoned in the mail with a court date.

An employee reported that one of their vehicles was stolen overnight. He advised that the suspect struck other vehicles in the lot when they took off with the rental car. The vehicle was later tracked to a location in Seattle by SPD. The owner responded to the scene and recovered the vehicle.

Felony Harassment/Assault

Police responded to a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon arrival, officers determined that the suspect had threatened the victim with a rifle while arguing in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The victim stated that he thought the suspect was going to “shoot and kill him.” The victim reported observing the suspect entering an apartment after the altercation. Probable cause was established for Investigation of Assault 1.  Officers set up a perimeter and contacted the suspect at the front of the residence. The suspect was detained without incident, and officers located the rifle in the backyard of the residence and identified it as a very realistic-looking pellet gun. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

Police responded to a disturbance and determined that the suspect, who had been contacted multiple times within the evening by police for various issues, had stolen merchandise from a business nearby. Officers observed that the suspect had been given multiple warnings and was provided with resources during previous contacts. The suspect was detained without incident.  An independent witness at the scene identified the suspect and observed him taking the merchandise. Probable cause was established, the suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

Police responded to a call of Malicious Mischief and determined that the suspect had broken his neighbor’s window over a dispute with the excessive noise emanating from the victim’s TV. Probable cause was established, and the suspect was advised he would be summoned in the mail with a court date.

Newport Hills Park and Ride

A citizen reported a vehicle at the Newport Hills Park and Ride that was having its catalytic converter cut off.  The male suspect noticed he was being watched by the citizen and fled the area before police arrived.  The citizen obtained a license plate on the suspect’s vehicle.  The vehicle was stolen from Kent.  The vehicle was recovered and left at the scene at the request of the victim.

The two suspects above stole three clippers totaling $512 from the store. When confronted, the male postured as if he may have a weapon. The manager let them leave. The suspects fled in a nondescript van with a broken-out and taped back window.

Order Violation

Both victims have protection orders against the suspect. The victims returned home to their residence to find the suspect’s vehicle in the driveway.  After a few minutes, the suspect appeared from around the side of the house on foot and returned to his vehicle and left. The suspect returned a couple of minutes later and got in a verbal argument with one of the victims. The protection order prohibited contact by the suspect and prohibited the suspect from being at the residence. An officer located the suspect nearby stopped and arrested him for the order violations. He was booked into jail.

Police responded to a residential burglary report and determined that suspect(s) had made entry by breaking through the front door of the residence. The victim could not think of anyone who could be responsible and stated that she did not believe that anything was stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

Assist Redmond Police

Police responded to assist Redmond Police. RPD advised that they had established probable cause for the arrest of the suspect for DUI and resisting arrest. BPD officers arrived on scene and helped with setting a perimeter. It was later discovered that the suspect’s vehicle was reported stolen. An extensive K9 track was conducted, but the suspect appeared to have escaped the perimeter. RPD is investigating.

Carjacking

Redmond PD conducted a traffic stop around 0400 hours.  The suspect ran from the scene during the field sobriety test. After the suspect ran, Redmond PD discovered the vehicle the suspect was driving was stolen.  Redmond PD conducted a K9 track with the assistance of Bellevue PD.  At 0626 hours, a suspect (believed to be the same from the Redmond PD incident) carjacked the victim of knifepoint at the Redmond Park Apartments.  The stolen vehicle was captured on a traffic camera driving southbound on 148^th Ave NE and entering SR 520.  The vehicle was recovered by Seattle PD and the suspect was later arrested.

The suspect walked into the location and selected five items, and proceeded to exit the store without paying for them. As he drove away, the store employee was able to get the license plate number. The investigation is ongoing.

Organized Retail Theft

Loss prevention witnessed a subject stealing approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise from a front display rack and attempted to detain the subject as she fled on foot from the location. Officers arrived to investigate and pursued the theft subject in a short foot pursuit down Bellevue Way NE, which resulted in the subject surrendering and being placed into police custody without further incident. The loss prevention agent recognized the subject from previous thefts at the location, which resulted in an estimated $10,000 worth of stolen merchandise. The subject was transported and booked into jail for investigation of Organized Retail Theft 1st degree.

Police responded to a Commercial Burglary report and determined that unknown suspect(s) had made entry into the business via a rear roll-up security door and had taken a vehicle. The officer was able to track down the registered owner and confirm it was stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment – Threats to Kill

The victim was parking a vehicle in an adjacent lot when he was approached by the suspect.  The suspect was holding a knife in his hand with the blade tip pointed up.  The suspect yelled obscenities at the victim and accused the victim of following him.  The victim ran back to work and reported the incident.  The suspect fled the area in a silver vehicle.  The victim had no idea who the suspect was or why he threatened him with a knife. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect was causing a disturbance at the business by ramming a shopping cart against the back door. The suspect is trespassed from the location. The suspect also stood in front of fire engines in the middle of the road while they had lights and sirens on responding to a call, obstructing them from getting to their call. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and obstructing and booked into jail.

DUI Arrest

Police contacted the suspect for a traffic violation and observed that the suspect was exhibiting the effects of impairment due to alcohol consumption and driving. The officer initiated a DUI investigation and established probable cause.  The suspect was arrested, transported to the station, and processed for DUI. Having had no substantial arrest history, the suspect was released to a sober family friend.

BPD K9 officers responded to assist Redmond Police on a cold commercial burglary. The BPD K9 and his partners initiated a track, but after working area tenaciously, they could not get a substantial track on the suspect.

A subject was causing disturbances in the complex parking lot and running up to other residents and threatening them and posturing them, placing them in fear. Probable cause was established for harassment. The subject was arrested and booked into jail.

Two suspects stole a tent and other camping equipment. A bystander captured the license plate of the stolen vehicle they left in.  It is a Bellevue stolen vehicle under case 21-38949.
