Bellevue Police investigating fatal collision in Factoria

The Bellevue Police Department today announced an investigation into a fatal collision that occurred Friday evening.  

At approximately 9:07 p.m. on April 24, Bellevue Officers were dispatched to the intersection of SE 41st Place and Factoria Boulevard SE to reports of a motorcycle colliding into a vehicle. During its initial investigation, Bellevue Police’s Traffic Unit confirmed the motorcyclist, an 18-year-old male, was traveling at a high rate of speed on Factoria Boulevard before crashing into a vehicle that was attempting to make a turn. Bellevue Fire attempted life-saving measures but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle driver remained at the scene of the crash and was cooperative throughout the preliminary investigation. Bellevue Police Collison Investigators determined the driver was not impaired and was later released.
