The second suspect then woke up and exited the truck. Officers learned the gun was loaded and stolen. They recovered body armor, suspected narcotics, IDs, and other stolen property, including an $8000 bike in the truck. Both suspects were arrested and booked into jail. The bike was returned to its owner.

The three suspects approached two victims and demanded their cell phones and money.  One of the suspects brandished what later turned out to be an airsoft gun concealed in his waistband. That prompted the victims to run away, and the suspects chased the victims. One of the suspects assaulted one of the victims, demanding his cell and money while reaching toward the victim’s pocket.  When officers arrived, the victims pointed out the suspects, who were seated on a bench nearby.  All three suspects were arrested without incident, and the airsoft gun was recovered.

 NARRATIVE

An employee called about the suspect loading a shopping cart with high price items, usually associated with organized retail theft. The suspect was arrested after leaving with the unpaid cart of stolen property. The stolen merchandise was valued at over $2800.  A firearm was located on the suspect during a search following the arrest.  The suspect is a convicted felon.  The suspect also had a felony warrant. The suspect had suspected drugs in her purse and tried to sluff off more drugs in the back of the patrol vehicle. Once booked in jail, staff found more suspected drugs. The suspect was given a Blake form for drugs and is being charged for bringing drugs into a correctional facility.

A person called 911 about three subjects checking car doors in his neighborhood.  The subjects were being followed by a dark sedan.  When officers arrived in the area, a minivan was observed leaving the area. The van failed to stop when the officer attempted to pull it over. Another officer contacted a separate sedan with no plates occupied by two females.  When the officer ran the vehicle identification number, he learned it was stolen. The driver was arrested and booked into jail.  The passenger was eventually released.  The vehicle contained stolen credit cards and mail. The officer located a third suspect nearby who was in possession of a dagger and was arrested for Dangerous Weapons and booked into jail.

A locally-owned African American business experienced a hate crime offense. The subject was outside the business pounding on the glass window, yelling obscenities at the victims inside.  When the owner exited the business to tell the subject to leave, he clenched his fist and took several quick steps at her while continuing the above verbal tirade. The owner and her employee retreated back into the business, locking themselves inside, believing the transient intended to assault them due to their race.  Officers arrived, located and detained the suspect.  He was identified, arrested and booked into jail.

Officers were dispatched to two people passed out in a vehicle. The officer observed the two passed-out subjects in the front seats of a vehicle. An officer further noted suspected drug paraphernalia around the driver.  While waiting for his backup, an unidentified citizen observed the officer standing by the suspect’s vehicle. The citizen started to repeatedly honk their horn until the occupants of the suspect vehicle woke up.  This caused the driver to start their car and back out of the parking lot.  The officer stopped the vehicle for suspicion of DUI. The unidentified passenger immediately left the area on foot.  Following a DUI investigation, the driver was arrested.

King County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance looking for a vehicle it had been pursuing after it rammed several of their vehicles.  The pursuit had been along the Lakemont Blvd border of Bellevue.  Bellevue was not involved in the pursuit.  The vehicle was located by KCSO.   Bellevue officers assisted in the perimeter after the vehicle crashed into a gated complex, and both occupants fled.  The passenger had a Bellevue warrant and was arrested and booked into jail.  The driver climbed onto the roof of the condominium complex and eventually gave up without incident after Bellevue officers de-escalated the situation. The vehicle turned out to be stolen out of Bellevue.

A security guard reported that a suspect opened his car door, grabbed three packs of cigarettes, and punched him in the face, causing pain. Officers set a perimeter, and a K-9 tracked led to the downtown transit center.  Along the track, two packs of cigarettes were located.  The suspect was located on the stairwell west of the transit center holding the remaining pack of cigarettes.  The suspect was arrested and booked into jail. Shortly after being booked, an employee called from Bellevue restaurant reporting that their cell phone was stolen and was currently showing at the jail.  The suspect was booked with a phone.  The phone was recovered from the jail and verified it belonged to the victim. Officers returned the phone to the victim.

The reporting party called about his partner being shot at after attending a party. A disturbance occurred between the victim and suspect in the building, which resulted in the victim being pistol-whipped by the suspect.  The parties separated, but the suspect located the victim on the street and confronted him.  A physical fight ensued, and the suspect fired a shot near the victim into the ground.  The suspect left with two other subjects. No one was shot. The investigation is ongoing.

A motorcycle officer witnessed a catalytic converter theft as he pulled into the parking lot.  The suspect spotted the officer and jumped into his adjacent vehicle and sped past the officer. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, but the suspect instead increased speed to 60+ MPH and ran a red traffic signal at SE Eastgate Way and 150^th Ave SE. The officer immediately discontinued efforts to gain voluntary compliance from the suspect to stop.  He returned to the scene of the crime and verified the catalytic converter theft.  The license plate did not match the vehicle, and it may be an unreported stolen vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect was on an unreported stolen motorcycle with plates that belonged to a Harley Roadster. Officers located the motorcycle in a parking lot after the rider jumped off it. They initiated a traffic stop, and the rider fled on foot.  Following a short foot pursuit through the parking lot, he gave up and was taken into custody.  The suspect lied about his name and had warrants out for his arrest.
