The victim started an online relationship with a person he thought was 18 years old. The suspect and victim exchanged naked photos of each other. Soon afterwards, the victim then received an email from the same email who claimed to be the angry father of a 15 year old who accused the victim of being a child predator, then demanded that the victim pay $1500.00. The victim recognized this to be an internet scam and reported the situation to BPD. |

Three suspects stole the victim’s vehicle from the Port Apartments. The victim followed his vehicle and contacted 9-1-1 dispatch about his stolen vehicle. The victim followed his stolen vehicle to the 3000 block of Richards Road where he confronted the suspects about returning the vehicle. One of the suspects pulled out an airsoft pistol and began shooting at the victim. The rounds fired at the victim were airsoft pellets and bounced off the victim’s windshield. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle and were not located. |

Upon arrival, Investigating Officer determined that the victim, an Uber Driver, had been assaulted by a fare he was transporting from Seattle. The suspect was last seen fleeing from the location on foot. A perimeter was set for a K-9 response and K-9 Officer Ozzie and his partner Officer Bradley located the suspect hiding in some bushes a short distance away. The suspect was booked. |

When both motorists arrived at the home, the brother of the other driver broke the window of his vehicle. Officers responded to the residence. The investigating officer will be forwarding Malicious Mischief and brandishing charges for review. A pistol was recovered and booked into evidence. |
