 NARRATIVE

Two subjects were involved in a domestic disturbance. Neighbors called 911. Both subjects had conflicting stories. The victim had a large bruise/contusion on her right cheek and stated the suspect punched her. The suspect stated the victim grabbed an ax and threatened to kill him. The victim stated the suspect left the scene and had access to a gun. Officers did not find a weapon in the vehicle or the apartment.  The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.

 NARRATIVE

The victim reported that she was in the parking lot of her apartment complex when the suspect approached her and tried to rip her necklace from her neck. The victim said she bent at the waist and screamed, and the suspect was unable to remove the necklace. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim did not want to identify herself and did not want a police report filed.

 NARRATIVE

A dating couple got into an argument when the female stated she wanted to end the relationship.  The male grabbed her by the arm, forcing her arm behind her back.  The male fled when other subjects in the apartment called police.  He was not located by other officers.

 NARRATIVE

The business owner called in stating he heard noises inside his business via remote cameras.  Officers arrived on scene and confirmed a valid burglary had occurred.  Multiple bystanders provided suspect descriptions and direction of travel.  A suspect was located behind the business crouching behind recycling bins and was taken into custody.  Store merchandise was recovered from the suspect’s backpack.

 NARRATIVE

Unknown suspect(s) broke a vehicle window and stole an estimated $7400 in property, primarily electronics, and caused several thousand dollars of damage.  A witness reported a white box van near the victim’s vehicle at approximately 0315 HRS.

Video showed two unidentified male suspects with heavy builds force entry into a treehouse building at approximately 0120 HRS and stole property totaling an estimated $5000, including patio furniture, a tent, propane tank, and custom hardware.

 NARRATIVE

An officer located a subject who was walking across the intersection, against traffic, requiring vehicles to slow or stop. Earlier, she was walking in a different intersection and reportedly acting strangely.  She was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

A caller reported a female behaving erratically in the park.  Officers observed the female in crisis run in front of a vehicle in traffic.  Officers took the female into protective custody.  She was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

The victim reported that her wallet was taken from her desk drawer and several unauthorized payment card charges were made in Bellevue.  The charges have been disputed.  There is no suspect information at this time.

 NARRATIVE

A suspect threatened two juveniles in the bathroom of the above location and made them empty their pockets.  He stole personal items from each then fled the bathroom.  As he was leaving, the victims yelled that they were robbed.  A male intervened and recovered the merchandise.  The suspect fled the scene but was later located associated with another call a block away, where he was taken into custody without incident.  He was booked into jail.

 NARRATIVE

A suspect assaulted patrons and staff at the above location.  An officer contacted the male and detained him for the assault.  The suspect assaulted the officer by intentionally grabbing onto his fingers and applying pressure and causing pain while being escorted to a patrol car. The suspect was booked into jail.

 NARRATIVE

A suspect entered the store during the day and attempted to steal well over $1000 worth of merchandise but was confronted just as he was about to exit. The suspect came back a few hours later and stole approximately $100 of merchandise, then fled the store.  An officer located him, and he ran from the into the woods. The suspect was located hiding in the sticker bushes and the stolen property was located as well as an ID and credit cards belonging to another. The suspect was also in possession of a felony amount of suspected heroin, and he had numerous warrants out for his arrest, including a $5000 BPD Theft Warrant.  He was booked into jail.

 NARRATIVE

A suspect attempted to kick in the door to his father’s apartment.  He eventually entered and assaulted his father by hitting him with a vodka bottle and shoving him down onto broken glass causing a laceration.  The suspect was arrested without incident and booked into jail.

The reporting party stated that on 07/03/20 a tenant of the apartment complex touched her inappropriately from behind while she was bending over to pick up her cat.  The male subject denied the allegation.  The reporting party did not want to go through the court process and preferred to seek a resolution with apartment management.  Case forwarded to the prosecutor for review.

 NARRATIVE

Officer arrived on the scene of a report of children locked in a hot car.  The officer located kids sweating in the vehicle without air on or an adult around.  The suspect was in a retail store in the area and was contacted and told to get children out of the car. The children were not seriously injured.  CPS was notified of the report.  Charges for a Bellevue City Code violation were forwarded to the prosecutor.

A female reported a sexual encounter that she wanted to be documented.  She initially reported it to Kirkland PD and they contacted BPD to come to take a report.  The case has been forwarded to investigations.

 NARRATIVE

Multiple callers reported a male victim had been shot in the parking lot and that the unidentified suspect had fled on foot.  Officers arrived and administered first aid including applying three tourniquets.  Bellevue Fire arrived and immediately loaded the victim into the aid unit and took him to the hospital.  He sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

 NARRATIVE

Officers responded to the park regarding a male subject who was seen inappropriately touching himself and possibly taking pictures of people.  Upon arrival, the subject was contacted, and an investigation was conducted.  The investigation determined no crime occurred and the subject was trespassed from the park and released.

 NARRATIVE

Security called regarding a vehicle driving recklessly in the NE garage.  Bike officers located the unoccupied vehicle and learned the three occupants were in a store attempting to steal.  Two suspects caught wind of what was going on and left the mall on foot. The third continued concealing merchandise but was tipped off by the other suspects, at which point she returned to the vehicle where she was detained. She was taken into custody for a DOC Escape warrant. One of the other suspects never returned to the vehicle as he also had a DOC warrant. The one apprehended suspect was booked into jail.

Surveillance video showed the suspect shatter the front glass door and enter the business. The suspect stole approximately $400 cash and a cell phone.

 NARRATIVE

Officers from all 3 shifts responded to several calls regarding the subject throughout the day. The subject is diagnosed with schizophrenia and is apparently off his medication.  The Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) was requested and responded to one of the calls.  The MCT spoke to the subject and determined he did not meet commitment criteria.  He also didn’t meet commitment criteria for officers on any of the other calls.  MCT is contacting the subject’s case manager to request a reassessment. The behavior was erratic and at times, disruptive to neighbors, but no violence or threats of violence.
