A suspect in a felony malicious mischief that occurred on 07/15/20 turned himself in today. He’s suspected of shattering multiple windows of the victim business with a hammer. He was arrested, fingerprinted, photographed, and released. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor for charging. |

NARRATIVE
Units responded to a fire assist for a possible arson fire. Officers arrived on the scene to find a heavily modified Jeep, valued at $50K, engulfed in flames. A witness reported seeing someone walking away from the burning Jeep, but the description was vague, and they weren’t seen doing anything nefarious. A K9 responded and attempted a track but was unsuccessful. The owner was inside the establishment at the time of the fire and had parked 40 minutes prior. The vehicle was a total loss. |

NARRATIVE
A subject was observed by many witnesses in the city driving recklessly and almost causing accidents. An officer located the vehicle and also observed it driving hazardously. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle which continued failing to yield for approximately nine blocks. The subject finally stopped the vehicle in the middle of the right lane in the 500 block of 148th Ave NE. The subject was too intoxicated to safely do a field sobriety test. He was arrested and booked into jail. |

Officers were called to assist Washington State Patrol, who advised they were out with a domestic disturbance. It was determined the suspect assaulted her ex-boyfriend with a lit cigarette while he was driving a vehicle, leaving a burn mark on his arm. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into jail. |

An officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The suspect quickly exited the car and told the officer that it might be stolen. It was found to be a stolen vehicle out of Kent. The suspect was also in possession of 11+ grams of suspected methamphetamine and an unknown quantity of suspected heroin. He was arrested and booked into jail. |

A mothered called police to report her daughter was in a mental health crisis. The daughter fled the scene immediately upon seeing officers arrive. While investigating, officers determined that she had committed a DV Assault 4th degree by punching her mother several times causing pain. The suspect could not be relocated despite a K9 search. |

An officer noticed a suspicious vehicle cruising around, and he conducted a registration check. It had expired tabs and a traffic stop was eventually initiated. Officers were dispatched to suspicious circumstances after a caller reported seeing a woman hiding in bushes and asking for help. Upon arrival, officers learned a known male suspect had forced her to drive him around the area, assaulted her, and then stole her vehicle. The woman was transported to the hospital for evaluation and was subsequently released. The vehicle was recovered by WSP a short time later in Issaquah, but the suspect was still outstanding. The investigation is ongoing. |

While on routine patrol, an officer saw a known wanted suspect with multiple warrants. The suspect has eluded police numerous times in the past and is also a suspect in several mail theft cases. The officer attempted a traffic stop on the suspect, but he fled at a high rate of speed. The officer immediately shut down his emergency lights and sirens and backed off. The suspect was positively identified by the officer. |

Police responded to a call of a suspicious person. A concerned citizen had contacted police about a suspiciously parked vehicle in a quiet neighborhood cul-de-sac. The citizen further advised that the occupant of the vehicle appeared to be acting strangely, getting into and out of his vehicle, and staring at his home. The officer located the vehicle and initiated a social contact with the occupant, who appeared to be in medical distress. The officer called for Bellevue Fire to aid with the subject. During the contact with the suspect, the officer observed suspected drugs and paraphernalia within plain view. The suspect was arrested, searched, and advised he would be summoned in the mail with a court date. |

A family reported their mother, who was visiting from China, walked away from the home at approximately 0700 hours without their knowledge. It was caught on their ring camera. The mother only spoke Chinese and was not familiar with the area. She had memory issues and was a diabetic, requiring insulin shots. At approximately 15:18 hours, Residence Inn Downtown Bellevue called about an unwanted person. The person was identified as the missing person. |
