Bellevue police detectives arrested a 30-year-old woman and two 17-year-old males in connection with the shooting at the Overlook at Lakemont Apartments on July 10, 2020. The 48-year-old victim was shot 9 times in the parking lot as he approached his car. He survived and is recovering.
Detectives arrested the victim’s 30-year-old ex-wife on investigation of attempted murder, alleging that she hired a 17-year-old to carry out the shooting. Investigators say that male suspect then got a friend to drive him from Mount Vernon to Bellevue to shoot the victim. The ex-wife was allegedly going to pay $13,000 for the murder to hire scheme.
This is still an active investigation, and more details will be made available soon.
