An employee called 911 to report that a subject had broken into the building using a crowbar. Officers responded to the scene and searched the area but couldn’t find him. Officers were later flagged down by a citizen and an employee who pointed out where the suspect was last seen. The officers were able to locate the subject hiding in a nearby parking deck. He was subsequently arrested and charged with burglary. The suspect had multiple burglary warrants out for his arrest out of Seattle. He was booked into jail.

The victim called 911 to report a hate crime. He stated that while he was walking on Newport Way just after 150th Ave, a gray car drove past him. He said that a white male and a white female yelled out from the vehicle “Allho Akbar” and threw an egg at him. He requested that an officer call him. The officer contacted the victim, who advised him that he was a person of color and felt like it was a hate crime. He further explained that the egg didn’t hit him, but it came close. He stated that the incident happened yesterday afternoon around 1530 hours. The officer investigated the matter but was not able to locate the suspect due to the lack of suspect description. |

An unknown male stole a tub of mail from a mail carrier while he was not looking. The mail was on the ground next to a few other bins as the carrier was putting mail in a bank of mailboxes. The mail carrier saw the suspect walk away with the bin but said nothing to him. The Postal Inspector has received the case.

The suspect was released from jail on Wednesday for assaulting his roommate with a knife. He returned to the apartment, got extremely intoxicated, and threatened to physically assault the victim several times. The victim left the apartment for a while, and when he returned, the suspect was on the victim’s bed naked and bleeding from the head. The victim could not wake him and thought he might have died. Officers arrived and located the suspect, who was now on the floor. The suspect was arrested and taken to the hospital for treatment. He was then booked into jail. |

KPD advised that the suspect was currently arrested and booked into the Kirkland City Jail on separate charges. During their investigation, the victim revealed that while in Bellevue, additional crimes had been committed against her by the suspect. Officers investigated and developed probable cause for multiple crimes. The suspect was summoned in the mail with a court date. |

Witnesses called reporting that they say the suspect shove a female to the ground while she was holding a child. The suspect was contacted earlier, and the female was unable to be located. During the contact, the suspect was extremely belligerent. There was no probable cause of a crime, so the suspect was released. 911 received several more calls about the suspect. One caller reported the male was walking in the street and threatening to kill a female. Officers responded back and detained the male a second time as he was with the female, and she was crying. Probable cause was established after video footage of him shoving the female to the ground and her being identified as his girlfriend and mother of his child. He was booked into jail. |
