NARRATIVE
Police responded to a car prowl in progress and learned that a witness told police dispatch that a suspect was inside a neighbor’s vehicle and when confronted, she ran from the area toward NE 8th St. Responding units located the suspect and detained the suspect for investigation of Car Prowl without incident. She was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Meanwhile, a second suspect was located a block away, sitting in his vehicle waiting for the first suspect. The second suspect was detained for investigation of Car Prowl. Officers obtained consent to search his vehicle and discovered stolen ID’s and car theft tools. The suspects were advised they would be summoned in the mail with a court date and released at the scene. |

Citizens called 911 to report a dog left in a car. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed that there was a dog in the car and appeared to be in distress. Appropriate attempts were made to contact the registered owner of the car, but no one responded to the car. After approximately 30 minutes, the officer broke the window to the car and provided water to the dog. The registered owner returned to the car an hour later. |

Security called 911 to report a disturbance with a male who was removing spider wraps from merchandise and putting them into a tub in a shopping cart. Security advised that the male was leaving the parking lot and gave a vehicle description. Officers observed the vehicle getting onto the freeway. The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the suspect on a $20,000 assault two warrant. The passenger was detained on his warrants. |

Security had seen the male getting out of the driver seat of his truck, walk over to the Prius, and jack it up. He then used a tool underneath the vehicle. The female passenger never left the car, but she admitted to stealing from Victoria Secret.

Officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex after a 911 caller said he had been struck in the head by another tenant. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who is known from numerous previous contacts with PD. He had sustained several lacerations. While speaking to the victim, officers discovered he had been arguing with a neighboring tenant. During the argument, the suspect picked up a candle holder and struck the victim several times. After establishing probable cause, the suspect was located by officers down the street from the apartment and taken into custody without incident. The victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries, and the suspect was booked for felony assault. |

A suspect entered the store and proceeded to the frozen food section. He loaded up a garbage bag with $600 dollars in frozen seafood. The suspect was about to exit out the emergency exit when he noticed an employee watching him. The suspect dropped the merchandise he was about to steal and left the store, where he was contacted by officers. The employees stated this suspect had stolen in this fashion about six times before, but these incidents were not reported to the police, and dollar amounts were unknown. The suspect had multiple warrants. He was arrested and booked into jail. |

The victim and her friend called 911 to report she was possibly raped. The victim explained to an officer that a week ago, she had met a man who told her he’s from California on social media. The male subject arranged to meet with her at a restaurant. They met there last night, and she said that upon her arrival, he had a glass of wine already prepared for her. She further explained that halfway through the glass, she lost memory of what was happening. Fast forward to the next day; she advised the officer that she woke up next to the subject lying next to her. The case was forwarded to investigations. |

This evening, the suspect entered the residence they previously shared and would not leave when asked to do so. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was booked into jail. |
