While conducting directed patrols, an officer observed several subjects quickly leave a vehicle and walk into the mall. A check revealed the vehicle was stolen, so officers began checking the area for the involved subjects. One of the passengers was located and arrested for a warrant. |

A security guard interrupted an attempted catalytic converter theft and was peppered sprayed by the two suspects, who then ran northbound from the location. Officers set a perimeter, and a K-9 search was initiated. A vehicle owned by one of the suspects was located nearby, along with a stolen vehicle. The K-9 search did not locate the suspects. |

The investigation is ongoing.

Staff members called for aid for a male who had been struck with a bottle. The male and a female had been seen arguing throughout the day by staff. The victim was found on the ground outside elevators near his room. The victim also had four scratches across his face, which appeared to be from fingernails. The victim claimed he could not remember what happened when questioned by police but did state the couple was arguing. The couple’s hotel room was observed, and a broken bottle was found, which appeared to substantiate the victim’s initial claims to staff. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail. |
