Bellevue Police investigators yesterday executed a search warrant at a home in the Lakemont neighborhood as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged human sex trafficking activities associated with the residence.
During the operation, officers arrested a 21-year-old resident on suspicion of Human Trafficking in the Second Degree, Leading Organized Crime, and Money Laundering. Detectives believe additional arrests and charges may follow as the investigation continues. Investigators also seized numerous pieces of evidence and impounded two luxury vehicles.

The suspect’s name is not being released at this time because formal charges have not yet been filed by prosecutors.
The investigation began last fall after Bellevue Police received numerous complaints and 911 calls from concerned neighbors. Officers learned that the large rental home was allegedly being used to host parties that were promoted on social media and adult-content platforms, where young women were reportedly coerced into participating in sexually explicit content for money.
Over the past several months, Bellevue Police responded to more than 100 incidents at the residence, including reports of assaults, DUI-related offenses, weapons complaints, reckless driving, and minors in possession of alcohol. Investigators estimate that attendance at some events exceeded 300 people and included numerous individuals under the age of 18.
As detectives continued investigating, they developed evidence that led them to believe human trafficking crimes were occurring at the property. Under Washington law, second-degree human trafficking includes recruiting, harboring, obtaining, or profiting from another person through force, fraud, coercion, or exploitation for labor or commercial sex. The crime is classified as a Class A felony.
Bellevue Police are using this case to deliver a warning to both parents and young people.
“Officers witnessed numerous parents dropping off high-school-aged children at this home, likely unaware of the environment and activities taking place inside,” said Bellevue Police Captain Joe Nault.
Nault urged parents to know where their children are going, who is hosting the event, and what is being advertised online before allowing them to attend parties.
“Our message is simple,” Nault said. “What may appear on social media to be a glamorous party can expose young people to criminal activity, exploitation, alcohol and drug violations, violence, and serious safety risks. Parents need to stay involved and ask questions. Young people need to understand that attending these events can have real consequences.”
Bellevue Police emphasized that the department has zero tolerance for criminal activity that exploits or endangers young people and will continue to aggressively investigate offenses involving human trafficking, organized crime, and the exploitation of minors. Bellevue Chief of Police Wendell Shirley commented: “The activity associated with this residence significantly disrupted the quality of life for the surrounding neighborhood, is unacceptable, and it will not be tolerated in our community.”
Anyone who is a victim of sexual exploitation, or who has information about someone who may be a victim, is encouraged to contact the Bellevue Police Department’s Human Trafficking Unit at ViceHT@bellevuewa.gov.
