Today the Bellevue Police Department unveiled a new website aimed at recruiting new police officers to the department. The website, www.protectbellevue.com, is just the first step in an updated comprehensive recruiting and hiring effort for the Bellevue Police Department. The initiative includes a website, online ads launching this month and search engine optimization.
Bellevue Police hired 20 new officers in 2017, and are looking to hire an additional 15 to 20 officers in 2018. The recruitment campaign is underway to address vacancies due to retirements and achieve more diversity among the force by increasing the pool of eligible applicants.

The department is seeking both entry level Police Officer applicants with no law enforcement experience, as well as experienced lateral police officer applicants with at least 24 months of experience. The Bellevue Police Department offers the opportunity to work in one of the largest and fastest growing cities in the Pacific Northwest, with strong community support, excellent pay and benefits, and world class training and equipment.
