70 looting cases sent to the prosecutor, more to come

Bellevue police detectives have now referred 70 looting suspects to the King County Prosecutor’s office for charges in connection with the May 31st riots.  Detectives continue to sift through video and follow up on leads. “We want to send a very clear message to anyone thinking about committing crimes in Bellevue,” Police Chief Steve Mylett warns.  “If you commit violence or destruction in Bellevue, we will follow the evidence, find you, and arrest you.”

Of the 70 identified suspects, two are known to be from Bellevue.  The majority are being investigated for Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, & Malicious Mischief, among other charges.

Meanwhile, the investigation to identify other suspects continues.  Please look at the following pictures of six suspects we need help identifying.

This suspect was seen stealing merchandise from Rite Aid in downtown Bellevue.  He has wild red hair and he wears glasses.

This suspect breaks in the windows of Rite Aid on May 31st using an ice ax.  The photo shows a distinct shirt with white markings, and he’s wearing oversized shorts.

This suspect also entered Rite Aid.  You’ll notice a large tattoo that covers most of his forearm.

This suspect was seen stealing merchandise from the Mariners Store inside Bellevue Square Mall. See video below of this suspect inside the Mariners Store.

The two suspects below were seen inside Bellevue Square and leaving with armloads of merchandise.
