The suspect was hostile to officers and told them she wouldn’t pay for items due to homelessness. An officer offered to buy the suspect several of the items she needed if she’d put the other items back. The suspect refused, walked around the officers, and left the store without paying for any of the items. The store requested prosecution. Officers then followed the suspect outside, where she was detained. CARES responded because the subject was clearly in a mental health crisis. Both officers and CARES spent a significant amount of time de-escalating the situation, even offering to simply return the items and get her into a shelter. The suspect refused to release the bags full of items and was hostile to CARES/officers. Ultimately, the subject was taken into custody, and the stolen items were recovered. The suspect was booked into jail on theft 3rd degree charges ($354 worth of items) and a Bellevue PD warrant (Theft, $1500) and Auburn RP warrant (Theft, $5000).

Two suspects accused of dressing up as UPS drivers and robbing a pharmacy at gunpoint are behind bars. Detectives arrested two men, a 54 and 22-year-old, both living in Seattle. Investigators located both weapons and UPS uniforms following the arrest.
On August 23, 2021, the pair is suspected of entering a pharmacy in the 15600 block BelRed Road. They were both armed and dressed as UPS drivers, carrying a pretend package under the guise of delivering it. Instead, they both showed their weapons, demanded drugs and cash, then zipped-tied the employees before fleeing. One suspect reportedly had a long gun and the other a pistol.
Suspect’s getaway vehicle
Following media coverage of the robbery, a witness came forward after seeing the men get into a small red vehicle. The witness thought it was strange for UPS personnel to get into a private car. That tip led detectives to identify and locate the vehicle and, ultimately, the two suspects.
Detectives recovered a loaded Highpoint 9mm rifle and a realistic BB-gun pistol during a search warrant on a suspect’s apartment. They also found several UPS uniforms, jackets, shirts and pants, and other evidence tying the suspects to the robbery.
“This is outstanding detective work that allowed us to apprehend these dangerous suspects so quickly,” stated Major Travess Forbush. “This crime was terrifying for the victims, and we were happy to let them know they are now behind bars.”

Bellevue Detectives need the public’s help locating two violent offenders. 22-year-old Patrick Thomas and 21-year-old Randy Andrews both have $50,000 warrants for their arrest in connection with several Bellevue burglaries. 21-year-old Dajohntae Richard and 22-year-old Timothy Miller have already been arrested.
During the investigation, detectives learned that this crew was involved in multiple burglaries in Bellevue and King County. On August 19th, 2021, Detectives received information the crew was in the Somerset area of Bellevue. They located Richard, Miller, and Thomas as they left the area after allegedly burglarizing a home and followed them to Fred Meyer. Detectives arrested Richard and Miller; Thomas escaped the area on foot.
During a search of their vehicle, detectives recovered a loaded .45 semi-automatic 1911-style pistol.
Recovered .45 semi-automatic pistol
“The hammer was cocked, and there was a live round chambered in the barrel,” stated Captain Shelby Shearer. “We are very concerned these individuals will escalate the violence if confronted, and we need to get them off the streets.”
Because the suspects were armed in their immediate flight from the Bellevue burglary on August 19th, 2021, detectives referred the more serious charge of Burglary 1st degree to the King County Prosecutor’s Office. This is a class A felony, instead of Residential burglary, a class B felony.
Detectives searched Richard’s residence and vehicle and recovered evidence from multiple burglaries, including Bellevue, Federal Way, Kirkland, and Lake Forest Park. “None of these suspects live in Bellevue. Instead, these violent career criminals purposely traveled to Bellevue on multiple occasions within the last month to commit crimes and then left the area”, said Shearer. “Our detectives worked tirelessly to investigate these crimes and hold them accountable for their actions.”
If you know where officers can find either Andrews or Thomas, submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound by texting the information through the P3 Tips app or call 1-800-222-TIPS(8477). Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for the tip that leads to an arrest.
